How much do your services cost?
A Special Purpose does not charge churches or families for our programs, but we would like you to consider becoming a monthly donation partner or make a one time donation to support the important work we do.
How can I support A Special Purpose?
We would love your support! Click the donation link on the top of this page to make a digital donation. Become a monthly donor. Volunteer at our respite house or at one of our events. Enter a team or buy a sponsorship to our annual fundraiser Fairways for Families. Choose A Special Purpose for a Round Up donation when you shop at Walmart online. Pray for our staff, board, and the families we serve.

Respite FAQs
Does A Special Purpose provide care to individuals with disabilities?
A Special Purpose offers caregiver respite to parents and other caregivers of individuals with disabilities. A Special Purpose does not provide childcare, but we are happy to direct you to resources that help with childcare.
Do caregivers pay a fee to use the respite home?
No. Caregiver respite is free to caregivers.
Are meals included with my respite stay?
Occasionally, A Special Purpose will receive food donations and gift cards from local eating establishments for caregivers to enjoy during respite. However, this is not always a guarantee and caregivers should be prepared to provide their own meals.
Is there a kitchen in the respite home to prepare food and coffee?
Yes, there is a very beautiful kitchen in the home equipped with all major appliances and coffee bar.
Can married couples go for respite?
We love it when married couples come for respite! We also offer the respite home to groups of moms/female caregivers, and groups of dads/male caregivers. Parents and siblings can also go to have time away to connect.
How many caregivers can the respite house accommodate?
The respite house has 6 private bedrooms. We can accommodate a minimum of 2 guests and a maximum or 10 guests.
What days are the respite house available?
Caregivers can come for overnight respite on weekends and weekdays. Caregivers are welcome to stay more than one night.

What kind of training do you offer?
A Special Purpose offers practical resources to help your church or business become inclusive and accessible to individuals of all-abilities.
Where do you offer training?
A Special Purpose presents sessions each year at Children’s Ministry Expo. We will also come to your church to present a training session customized for your staff and volunteers.

Do you provide leadership opportunities for collaboration and learning?
